Is Akon really dead?

I've been reading a lot of controversial articles about Akon being dead. Some report he died of HIV which he probably contracted at the stage incident years back and other say he died in a car crash. I'm not wishing death on the Talented superstar but i have to post this and find out what's really up with Akon. I hope not but it seems the only way to find out is to hear from Akon himself. That's if he's still alive.
