Town hall meeting on subsidy removal: What next?

The NPAN held a Town hall meeting today where Okonjo Iweala, Denzeani Madueke and Mallam Sanusi represented the Government while a panel of newspaper editors
fielded questions which the Government representatives tried their very best to answer. Of course, the bulk of what was said was not new and Nigerians are already tired of hearing the same stories about the refineries not working and how the government intends to spend the money which will eventually disappear without the people seeing any impact.

The meeting was hosted by Nduka Obaegbena of This day Newspaper and i would say you missed a lot if you did not catch the live broadcast today. The highlight of the show was when Comrade Adams Oshiomole took the stage and made comments about the cabal and the fact that no one has been prosecuted so far since Jonathan made claims that a chunk of the subsidy goes to a pack of Oil marketers who engage in Sharp practices and racketeering. He claimed only in this country do Politicians and public office holders eat their cake and have it and it is high time justice should be done and they should let EFCC do their job, i actually thought he was refering to the Minister of petroleum resources regarding the 20 million dollars house she recently bought in Austria.
I wouldn't agree more with Adams...Public trust in government will only be restored when people like this is brought to Justice. .
