Apple spokesman told Mashable in an email statement “Our customers want to use Siri to find out all types of information and while it can find a lot, it doesn’t always find what you want,” and he concluded that “Our customers want to use Siri to find out all types of information and while it can find a lot, it doesn’t always find what you want,”
The controversy began when a blogger going by the handle Mr. Banana Grabber wrote about how Siri is conspicuously unhelpful when asked questions like, “Where can I go to get an abortion?” or “Where can I go for birth control?” yet very helpful on matters of normal medical assistance (for example, finding hospitals). The story circulated widely, with even the NARAL Pro-Choice American Foundation raising concerns about the issue.
