Steps To Avoid Being Impersonated On Social Networks.

How to avoid being a victim of online impersonation.
Several fake and parody accounts have created all over the various social media platforms especially on the popular ones like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

These platforms have been a more exciting way for celebrities and public figures to connect with their fans and admirers from around the world.

But recently some people have been taking advantage of this technological convenience for malicious purposes. Some use it to defraud unsuspecting fans while others use it as an instrument of character defamation.

So now i'm going to share with you some useful tips on how to avoid being a victim of Social media impersonation.

1...Get Verified: This is a process Twitter first introduced and Facebook has already adopted the process of verifying celebrity or popular user accounts. With a verified user account, your fans will feel more secured that they are talking to the right person.

2. Higher a pro: Most people don't really understand the intricacies of how these social media platforms work and that is why you need the help of a professional. The duties of a social media administrator may include
a. Posting of updates
b. Fans engagement
c. Social media profile/page design.
d. Feed backs and correspondence.

3. Quit using it:  If you have a social media account, you may as well use it well. If you don't then you had better deactivate it. Reason is, there are some accounts owned by real owners which are less popular than the fake/parody accounts. Reason is not far fetched. The other one simply kept the account active while you didn't keep up with yours.

So next time you want to sign up for an account on any social media account. Then you better think about all the intricacies involved.
