She currently sits in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart with her current single "We Found Love," coming in at #9.
She earned her 20th single to hit the top 10, making her the fastest to reach the feat than any other solo artist, surpassing the iconic Madonna.
Rihanna first hit the Hot 100 in June 2005 with "Pon De Replay" eventually peaking at #2. Since then she's had 20 top 10's in a span of just six years and four months, beating Madonna for the quickest collection of top 10s among soloists (from an artist's first Hot 100 appearance) in the chart's 53-year history.
Madonna tallied her 20th top 10, "Hanky Panky," in July 1990, for six years and nine months, following her introduction of the single "Holiday."
Despite her success, she looks up to her as an icon. "I think that Madonna was a great inspiration for me, especially on my earlier work," Rihanna recently revealed.
